For the jewelry-maker or beading enthusiast, here is a full strand of Millefiori chip beads. Millefiori means "Thousand Flowers" in Italian, and Millefiori glass is made by fusing different-colored glass rods together in pleasing patterns (often like flowers), and then heated and stretched before being cut. The result is a glass with thousands of tiny flower- or star-like designs. These chips are small bits of Millefiori glass, and do not show the full patterns, but each has a little universe inside of it. We offer a choice of colors, but each bead has many colors in it--our color choices refer to the predominant color of the glass. Mix them with other stone beads and metallic spacers for endless possibilities. Strands are in the 34-36" range, and come pre-strung on nylon wire or string.
